Excited about another event poster and collateral prints to promote a cultural tradition in Peru called Peña which is a gathering of neighbors and friends entertained by local musicians and/or dancing along traditional Peruvian Creole music.
A peña has been described as a formal musical venue, varying in degrees of “professionalism”. A house band typically plays throughout the evening, providing entertainment and the opportunity for dancing. Sometimes professional dancers also perform, particularly in the larger and more established venues. Some peñas are open to the public and some are private, by invitation only.
